At Bella Del Gatto, we rescue, foster and rehabilitate kittens and cats all year long. We partner with several local rescues and humane societies and have dozens of rescues in our home throughout the year. Please consider fostering and helping the stray cat population who are sick and dying outside. These are now all of our beloved pets and why we need a bigger house. They each have their own story of survival and some were very near to death when they found us.

The Siamese boys top left were both strays outside trying to survive in different parts of the town. Dmitri{left} took awhile to trap as he was so scared and Dempsey{right} was just a tiny baby and adapted well. Dmitri developed FIP but with God’s grace, we got him treatment early and he made a full recovery.

You can see Honey’s before and after at the bottom of this page. Honey was 9 years old when she was abandoned outside, alone and scared. Honey was found anemic, infested with fleas, malnourished and underweight. Honey deserved so much more in her golden years. Honey is a persian.

Goldie the persian to the top right had to have her full leg amputated at only 2.5 pounds due to a cord being wrapped around her leg at birth.

The sweet little orange brothers in the middle are both blind due to terrible illness and eye ulcers from being strays outside without medical care. They had to have their eyes removed and depend on each other for support and comfort. They are the sweetest, most loving babies today.

Oliver{bottom right} is a maine coon who I imported from Russia to use in my breeding program. Within a week of his arrival, he became deathly ill following vaccinations at a local clinic. Oliver was found to have FIP and almost died. After multiple hospitalizations, 84 days of FIP meds, antibiotics, prayers and love, Oliver beat the odds and he survived. I promised this little tiny 4 pound kitten that when he got better, that life would be great and he would always be with me. Oliver is now 2 years old and a big baby who sleeps with me every night.

They all have a story. They all deserve love. They have all endured more than they ever should have at the hands of humans.
